Equipements

The equipment on the platform are available during the UR BIOGER’s standard opening hours. Booking the equipment is mandatory and can only be done via the online booking system.

The platform’s facilities are divided between two locations : outside (46 m²) and inside (21 m²) of the confined zone (835 m²). The proximity of the imaging equipment and the sample preparation laboratory to the L2 growth chambers for plants and fungi provides an infrastructure well-suited to the study of phytopathogenic GMOs.  In particular, this proximity is essential for live imaging of microorganisms, phytopathogens and infected plants.

Sample preparation – Sectioning : Histology – Cytology

Ultramicrotome_LeicaUC7

For the preparation of thin sections ranging from 50 to 200 nm for TEM imaging, or semi-thin sections for photonic imaging.

A heating stage and an optical microscope are available to check the quality of the sample.

KnifeMaker_LKB7800
GlassKnife

Making glass knives for the use on an ultramicrotome. For the preparation of semi-thin sections for photonic imaging, or for trimming resin blocks prior to the preparation of thin sections for TEM imaging.
